Face/Faceless book?
Ah...
so after finding out what facebook was ( ten million years too late ), I just signed up for an account, but before you go about asking me to add you, please be informed, I have deactivated my account.

Why? Cause I just cant be bothered to maintain it. Haha! I was never really the tech-ie sort, neither am I particularly interested in joining another social networking site that has allowed me to now come to the realisation that in essence - serves no purpose ( well for me at least ).

Anyway, onto prom 07'...
Just to upload a few pictures... Enjoy...

Don't be shocked, I'm not such a tech idiot afterall huh?
Nice memories from the prom though I did feel a little cheated of my 85 bucks! But nonetheless, there were lots of fun memories.

Next time...Royal Caribbean Cruises, damn excited!

PS: My ankle hurts....

It never RAINS, it only POURS ( NO, Im not bitching about the weather..)

I must say, these past few days have not been good for me at all, from family politics, family problems and unemployment once again for me, YIKES. Not good at all. Ah well, god WILL make a way!

Anyway, back to happier ( ok, maybe not - happier, albeit, less depressing ) stuff.

Taiwan NOV 07' ( Rejoice Vanessa, I'm finally blogging about it, haha. )

1) Hopping on board our plane...

Ok, fine, maybe we DIDNT fly on the A380, but hey, I can IMAGINE RIGHT!

Taiwan Highlights:
1) The civic consciousness! It is totally amazing and super unreal ( Well, by Singapore standards anyway)

Example 1: IN Singapore, while waiting for the MRT train or when the train pulls into the station, we behave like :

No, i don't mean cute and docile, I refer to the shoving, pushing and the more-often-than not blocking of trains. On the other hand, the Taiwanese...

Actually queue and wait in line for the train. Without need for a public courtesy campaign / Singa the lion/cat/ totally useless icon or potential penalties to be imposed.

A typical MRT station in Taipei...Damn nice!

2)The C.K.S memorial hall ( Well, at least the EX- C.K.S memorial hall )with beautiful Chinese architecture , proud to say that we were amongst the last few to snap of shot with the old sign!

3) BEING ON TOP OF THE WORLD!
TAIPEI 101 - The tallest building in the world!

I'm tall for once...what can I say... I was head and shoulders above all of you for once ( MUAH HA HA HA!)

The following is entirely fictitious...
From Taipei 101...

Look into the telescope and you can see:

1)Beijing - The forbidden city...

2)The great wall of China...

3) Tibetan prayer bells

4) The Taj Mahal

5) The Sphinx

6) St Paul's Cathedral

7) A house in Florence - We're not supposed to enter can! So scary, we are criminals!

SEE:
But at least we were not alone! Heh.

8) Stonehenge

9) The statue of liberty

10) And..Mount Rushmore

And thus ends our world tour...
Obviously you should have figured out by now that these can't all be seen from Taipei 101 la..These were from a theme park - Xiao Ren Guo aka Windows of the World on China...
( Think of the implications please, considering that this is TAIWAN..with a window of the world on CHINA ). See the link?
Ok, i shall stop now, they do throw 18 year olds' in jail for talking too much, but you get my point.

4) I think i grew taller in Taipei!...

Can reach the ceiling lor!

Zoom in to notice more..(1.78m ok! Dun play play! ) Haha,

5) The national Palace Museum- which I love, but the rest of the Taiwan Trippers...didn't...

No pictures in the Museum though, as is standard museum regulation, but...to make-up for it..group shots...

Other random group shots:

And thus ends my long long long post on Taiwan - for now..Next I shall blog about prom. Your eyes must be bleeding from looking at all the pictures by now..

Till next time... BYE!

Coming soon on youarenotsupposedtoknow...

Things to blog about:

1) Taiwan ( I know i have been procrastinating )

GASP! - Its alive! Its alive.
Its queer that i totally took a break from blogging during what turned out to be one of the toughest periods of time in my life, the prelims followed by the A levels. Ah well, I'm glad that its finally over, trying to keep everything else at the back of my mind. Trying not to think of the results or the negative...Ah well, I believe god WILL make a way!

Welcome to...TAIWAN!!!
Take a look at this video, I swear, you're going to end up laughing your pants off. Sorry for the sporadic background laughter, but its amazing the lame stuff they put on Taiwan television! And its actually supposed to teach English.. like..what the...

Back to more serious albeit equally as interesting and lame stuff.

I was honestly looking forward to the trip, a relaxation trip after the A's, was looking forward to doing some serious shopping, sight-seeing and people-watching ( WHAT, don't you judge me! )

I shan't comment much, lest I incur the wrath of the TAIWANESE, (but you get the idea). Im still rather pro- Hong Kong. Looking forward to return SOON!

Anyway, back to Taiwan.

THINGS I ENJOYED:

1) The weather! ( 14 - 18 deg, is that drool-worthy or what!)

2) The company! ( More on that later...)

3) National Palace Museum ( Though seemingly not really enjoyed by many of the fellow trippers, oops. But its 5000 years of Chinese history! )

4) Taipei 101 ( Being on top of the world, made me feel...TALL...)

5) Xiao Ren Guo ( A carbon copy of Windows of the world in Shen Zhen )

The merry-band of campers at Changi.

The merrier and cold! band of campers at the National Palace Museum.

On a more personal note:
I want to thank the fellow Taiwan trippers for the amazing time that we had there. I apologize for the slight cock-up with the hotel and the room door saga, ( I still feel partly responsible ) and apologize that I may have seemed really quiet, distant, emotional, quite loner and introverted during some parts of the trip - there was really alot of stuff going through my mind, nothing personal, just had some emo streaks especially on the day when you guys went to sing kbox.

In no particular order, ok fine, alphabetical order to be fair:

Jian Rong: My fellow bitching partner, haha. Remember the WEI WEI, MEI MEI and all the other characters in the bitchy show? haha. Thanks for being such a wonderful friend throughout the course of the trip and being the one in the first place that told me about the Taiwan trip. Thanks for the constant companionship and hearing me out when I was pissed or bitchy. Its great having friends like you! And remember, when you do decide to get your Zara top ( you know which one I'm referring too la) do remember to call me along to be fussy and QC too. haha!

Sherylyn: The inseparable siam-ese twin of Vanessa, I will remember you for the constant cam-whoring and zhi-lianing with Vanessa throughout the course of the trip, it was great getting to know you much better and having so much fun together in Taiwan! There was a side of you that was revealed that I would never would have imagined! Haha. And you're fellow a Cantonese and clean freak too! Yea! Haha, looks like we have pretty much in common lor. Haha.

Shun Fu: Mr tour-guide ala almost Taiwanese fella! Thanks for being our tour guide and leading us around, if not for you, I'm pretty sure that we would be lost in translation ( literally ), Haha. It was really great to get to know you much better, from sharing the umbrella ( HAHA, remember! ) to the 5 hour chat back from Taiwan. I shan't repeat what Vanessa mentioned on her blog, but remember some of the stuff that I shared with you on the plane ride - the stuff we shared on the plane ride really impacted me. I'm serious. Thanks for the memories and the difference you made.

Vanessa:Probably the most excited and enthu person pre-taiwan trip. HAHA. Remember when we tried calling paradise hotel before we left, haha, (HOW TO SAY CHECK-IN?) haha. The jovial girl with the infectious laughter, thanks for being so understanding and being willing to go to the National Palace Museum to view more CULTURE even though I know that you were super-sian and unwilling initially, thanks for giving in! Thanks for bringing much joy and laughter throughout the course of the entire trip and brightening up our lives.

On a final note:

Thanks once again to my fellow trippers for the wonderful memories and experience. I had a blast! Thanks for putting up and bearing with my nonsense and crap. It was an experience that I will probably never forget.

To Zhao Long: You saw my sms, remember what I I said in there, remember, next time, you are going to ORD 4 months before me! Jealous! Remember to be strong in there dude. You can do it! keep in touch and meet up soon after your confinement! ( Aiyo, sounds like he's pregnant la..)

More details next time...I have to go to sleep now, lest i turn up at prom later looking like a panda!
